Eight calf ropers will back into the box Sunday, Sept. 13, for the semifinals and finals of the 2026 Cinch Playoff Series Finale in Puyallup at the Washington State Fair.
The bracket ran two go-rounds back-to-back across a pair of sets, with the top four from each set punching through to Sunday’s top-eight semifinals, and the top four out of that go on to a winner-take-the-title finals worth $13,900 to the champ.
- CD Olena is the thread of this pen of horses. He sired Riley Webb’s Lights On CD, he’s the grandsire of CD Lights, which Cole Clemons’ mare Kissin My Sass is by, and he doubles up top and bottom in Trevor Hale’s CDS Spots Move.
- Dual Pep shows up in three pedigrees—Kissin My Sass (out of a Dual Pep mare), Cory Solomon’s Playin Rey Baby (through Dual Rey) and CDS Spots Move (through Spots Hot’s dam).
- Peppy San Badger also shows up in most pedigrees—Lil Squaller, DMAC Iron Spoon and Lights On CD, and again through Dual Pep in several others.
- Doc O’Lena, himself by Doc Bar and out of Poco Lena, sits at the base of DMAC Iron Spoon and Lights On CD and stands behind CD Olena in the rest.
