San Angelo Stock Show & Rodeo Tie-Down Roping Update

San Angelo Rodeo runs March 31 to April 14, 2023.

Leesville, Louisiana’s Justin Smith leads the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo’s tie-down roping with a time of 15.3-seconds on two head. 

Smith, 25, qualified for the 2021 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, 

First round leaders: 1. (tie) Hayden Ford, Brush Minton and Chase Webster, 7.6 seconds each; 4. (tie) Blake Ash, Roan Hudson and Ryan Jarrett, 8.1 each. 

Second round leaders: 1. Justin Smith, 6.9 seconds; 2. Jerry Adamson, 7.2; 3. (tie) Preston Pederson and Cory Solomon, 7.4 each; 5. (tie) John Douch and Trenton Smith, 7.6 each. 

Average leaders: 1. Justin Smith, 15.3 seconds on two head; 2. Jerry Adamson, 15.8; 3. Brush Minton, 16.6; 4. Hayden Ford, 16.7; 5. Cody Waldrop, 16.8; 6. Westyn Hughes, 17.0; no other qualified runs.
