The 2025 Cheyenne Frontier Days calf roping will feature the top 60 fastest tie-down ropers from the July 14 slack, dividing them evenly across the rodeo’s six performances. 

The top 12 fastest tie-down ropers out of the slack’s Wildcard Round also advance to the July 19-24 performances. 

What is the Cheyenne Frontier Days tie-down roping format?

The top four from each performance advance to two semifinals, with the top six from each semifinals advancing to the clean-slate finals July 27.
