Round 10 of the 2024 NFR kicks off Saturday Dec. 14 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.

The tie-down ropers will run the medium pen of calves which weigh around 230 pounds. This is the same pen of calves from the first, fourth and seventh rounds.

“This is the only set of calves that go four times,” Lanham Mangold said. “All in all, the calves were pretty good this week. Not as good as last year but everyone had lots of chances for big money. Like my good friend Ernie Taylor use to say, may he rest in peace, the man in the mirror is usually the reason you win or lose. There might have been to much preparation but the ropers decided that and I agreed with them. All parties involved will get together later on and figure it all out. Cole Clemons: 46

Dylan Hancock was an 8.9 on this calf in Round 4 and tied for third in the round. Marty Yates was a 8.1 to split fourth in Round 7 on this calf. Overall good calf.

Hunter Herrin: 43

John Douch had this calf in round 4. The calf ran straight and hard, but Douch struggled to get him up. Kincade Henry had this calf in Round 7, stopping the clock at 8.3 to be seventh in the round.

Quade Hiatt: 24

Shad Mayfield was a 9.6 on this calf in round 4. Shad had to get the calf up, but he ran hard and straight. Shane Hanchey was 8.4 on this calf in Round 7. Overall good calf.

Kincade Henry: 5

Zack Jongbloed drew this calf in round 4, making an 8 second run. Tuf Cooper split fourth in the round on this calf with a 8.1. Calf ran hard, overall good calf.

John Douch: 11

Riley Webb was a 8.2 to be sixth in Round 7 on this calf. Quade Hiatt was a 9.4 on this calf in Round 4. Calf was on the slower end and Quade got in front of the calf a little, but good calf.

Tuf Cooper: 64

Joel Harris split ninth on this calf in Round 7 with a 9.4. This calf was an extra in Round 4 but was a good average calf in round 1.

Marty Yates: 53

Hunter Herrin was a no time on this calf in round 4. Shad Mayfield was a 10.9 to be 12th in Round 7 on this calf. The calf ran left.

Zack Jongbloed: 65

Joel Harris had this calf in Round 4. Cole Clemons was a 19.1 on this calf in Round 7.

Joel Braden Harris: 4

This calf was an extra in Rounds 1 and 4. Zack Jongbloed was a 10.6 to place 11th in Round 7 on this calf.

Dylan Hancock: 54

Kincade Henry had this calf in Round 4 and was a 10.2 plus 10. The calf ran a touch left right out of the box, Kincade broke out and struggled to flank. In Round 7, John Douch was 7.6 to place third in the round.

Shane Hanchey: 23

Number 23 was an extra in Round 7.

Ty Harris: 72

Riley Webb won Round 4 on this calf. Probably one of the best calves in the medium pen. Hunter Herrin was a NT on this calf in Round 7.

Haven Meged: 50

Shane Hanchey had this calf in Round 4, and split third on him with a 8.2. Good average calf. Ty Harris was a 12.8 on this calf in Round 7 to place 13th.

Shad Mayfield: 3

Tuf Cooper was a 9.7 on this calf in Round 4. Hard running calf, good on the ground. Quade Hiatt was a 9.4 to split ninth in Round 7.

Riley Webb: 45

Cole Clemons was and 8.3 on this calf in Round 4. Haven Meged was a 7.1 to place second in Round 7. Overall a good average calf.
