The Hooey Jr. Patriot Finals short rounds on March 15–16, 2025, feature the highly anticipated bonus rounds of competition for timed event athletes paying a total of $150,000, and here’s everything you need to know about the talk of youth rodeo.

Here’s the rundown and rules on the Bonus Rounds that takes place immediately following the conclusion of the Hooey Jr. Patriot final rounds inside Will Rogers Coliseum on Saturday, March 15 and Sunday, March 16.

$100K Bonus round for 19-and-Under, Sunday, Mar. 16

After the Hooey Jr. Patriot short round is complete, the top three competitors from each 19 & Under events come back for a $100,000 bonus round. Contestants must beat their discipline’s fastest time in the Hooey Jr. Patriot final round and be the fastest in their discipline in the bonus round to be eligible for the $100,000 bonus.

(Example: If a 9.7-second run in the tie down roping won the Hooey JR Patriot finals, a contestant must rope faster than 9.7 seconds to be eligible for the bonus money.)

If there is a tie in any discipline, those contestants will split their portion. If multiple disciplines beat the fastest time, the bonus round money will be split equally. If it is not won, in any given year, the pot will roll to the following year.

$50K Bonus round for 15-and-Under, 12-and-Under, Saturday, Mar. 15

After 15 & Under and 12 & Under Hooey Jr. Patriot final round is complete, the Top 3 competitors from each 15 & Under and 12 & Under Timed Events come back for a Bonus Round.

Contestants must beat their discipline’s fastest time in the Hooey Jr. Patriot final round and be the fastest in their discipline in the bonus round to be eligible for the $50,000 bonus. If there is a tie in any discipline, those contestants will split their portion. If multiple disciplines beat the fastest time, the bonus round money will be split equally. If it is not won, in any given year, the pot will roll to the following year.
