Round 6 of the 2024 NFR kicks off Tuesday, Dec. 10 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.
The tie-down ropers will run the small pen of calves which weigh right at the 220 weight limit. This is the same pen of calves from the third round.
“I think you can win money on any calf that goes tonight,” Lanham Mangold said. “That’s mine and Jeff’s goal when we put these calves together. Of course Riley looks like a machine but it looks like Dylan has figured it out and I think we’ll see some fast times from him.”
King of the cowboys, Trevor Brazile, says this is the best pen of calves.
“Selfishly, I would like to see this pen of calves go four times,” Brazile said. “I just like seeing these guys put on a show. Nobody here can’t go fast. This is the only chance they have at flirting with mid-6s. Joe (Beaver) didn’t think they’d get under 6.7 but I say they might on this herd.”
