Thirty-six ProRodeo calf ropers get one calf apiece at $60,000 added at the North Dakota Roughrider Cup, Sept. 18–20 at the Dale Pahlke Arena in Mandan, North Dakota. It’s the last Cinch Playoff Series stop on the calendar before the Sept. 21 cutoff that sets the Governor’s Cup field in Sioux Falls.

How the Mandan Field Was Set

The 36-man field is made up of the top 32 on 2026 money won as of seven days before entries closed, with no exemptions, plus the first-place winner from four Badlands Circuit qualifying rodeos who entered:

  • Aberdeen, N.D. — Aug. 10–11
  • Mandan, N.D. — July 2–4
  • Deadwood, S.D. — July 21–25
  • Rapid City, S.D. — Aug. 23–25

Money won at Mandan does not count toward Badlands Circuit standings, and the rodeo is not applied to a contestant’s required circuit participation count.

This is the last Cinch Playoff Series rodeo of the season—the final chance to move the board before the Sept. 21 cutoff that sets the Governor’s Cup field in Sioux Falls. Every run in the Dale Pahlke Arena counts toward who’s in and who’s out, which makes Mandan the rodeo that decides the Sioux Falls field.
