The Roping Futurities of America descended on Waco, Texas, Mar. 26–30, 2024, to reward the next generation of horses in roping with big checks; here are the RFA Waco tie-down results.
At it’s initial event in 2022, the RFA paid out more than $800,000. Now it is in its third year—and people are still coming back for more.
The RFA touts itself as: “Founded on the principle to ensure the prosperous future of rope horse trainers, owners and competitors; as well as promoting breeding of the next generation of rope horses.”
The RFA is comprised of three main events; ladies breakaway roping, tie-down roping and team roping. The RFA features slot futurity ropings; including the 4-year-old futurity for breakaway, tie-down roping and heading & heeling horses, as well as a futurity and derby team roping.
