TV Pen: 2023 NFR Round 6 Calf Report

Draw and calf notes for Round 6 of the 2023 NFR.

The small pen of tie-down calves is getting its second call in Round 6 of the 2023 NFR. This is the third pen of calves, and they were first roped in the third round. This pen would be considered the TV pen. Riley Webb won the third round on calf 74 with a 6.9.

Here’s who’s got what and how each calf performed in Round 3.

Ty Harris	49	Beau Cooper had calf 49 in Round 3. Ran medium and overall good. Cooper missed this calf.
Haven Meged	27	Kincade had calf 27 in Round 3. This calf was a tick faster than medium. He looked pretty big but was good.
Shad Mayfield	30	Caleb Smidt ran calf 30 in the third round. He ran medium and took a half step left. Overall good on the ground.
Riley Webb	55	Shad Mayfield ran this calf in the third round. Runs medium and leaks left pretty hard. Mayfield missed two loops.
Shane Hanchey	75	Westyn had calf 75 in the third round. He was medium speed and overall a great calf.
Tuf Cooper	36	Ty Harris had this calf in the third round. He was a tick faster than medium. Looked a little waspy on the end of the rope but overall good.
Hunter Herrin	71	Haven Meged had calf 71 in the third round. He ran a tick faster. Haven looked like he may have got caught up with his first wrap, but the calf took the tie.
John Douch	7	Shane Hanchey ran calf 7 in Round 3. This calf ran very lost. Hanchey missed with his first loop and caught with his second.
Brushton Minton	59	John Douch ran calf 59. Runs medium but looked like he may have gave it up. Douch bobbled his gather, but the calf was overall good on the ground.
Beau Cooper	38	Hunter Herrin had calf 38 in the third round. Calf ran medium. This calf sucked his legs when Herrin was pulling his hoey.
Blane Cox	45	Tuf Cooper roped this calf in the third round. He ran medium and a step to the left.
Kincade Henry	35	Cory Solomon had calf 35 in Round 3. This calf was a tick slower and was great on the ground.
Cory Solomon	20	Blane Cox roped calf 20 in the third round, and he ran stronger. This calf was strong on the ground but took the tie well.
Caleb Smidt	74	Riley Webb won Round 3 on calf 74. This calf ran medium or tick slower. He took a half step left. Great on the ground.
Westyn Hughes	51	Brushton Minton ran calf 51 in Round 3. Calf 51 runs medium. He’s good on the ground but did run up the rope when Minton got to his head.
