PRCA World Champion Haven Meged blasted his calf in 6.95 seconds in The American Rodeo’s tie-down roping Round of 10 March 9, securing his spot at last out in the final round at 7:30 p.m. CT.
Fellow World Champions Shad Mayfield and Riley Webb followed with a 7.45 and 7.65, respectively, while contender J. Cody Jones secured the final spot in the championship round with a 9.59. J. Cody Jones came through the Contender Series, and the 40-year-old California roper is eligible for The American’s $1 million Contender Bonus.
The final round kicks off at 7:00 p.m. CT.
