Riley Webb is the 2024 Tie-Down Roping World and NFR aggregate Champion, and he broke the ProRodeo season earnings record with $475,214 won at the conclusion of 10 rounds in Las Vegas.
This season Webb proved to be a record breaker, becoming the youngest in ProRodeo history to cross the $1-million earnings mark. At the 2024 NFR, Webb won Rounds 1, 2 and 4 and placed in five other Rounds, earning $248,305.31 at the NFR alone.
“No words can explain this feeling,” Webb said. “I’m thankful that my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ gives me this opportunity to show up and do my job every day. That horse, Rudy, has been so special to me. My family, my sponsors, all the support I have. It is unreal and I’m so thankful. Everyone’s support makes me go work hard out here. I’m going to keep working hard and try to come back and do it next year.”
Webb was unaware he broke the earnings record until he was walking on stage at the Thomas & Mack Center to accept his gold buckle. But either way—Webb was going to hold the record when it all shook out.
“Yeah, I was trying to break my own record,” Webb said. “I didn’t think about it, but I saw it as I was walking up on stage. Right when they called us up there, it said $475,000 and I thought to myself ‘dang, I was so close to a half million dollars for the year,’ and that’s so unreal. The sport is growing and I’m so glad to be doing this at 21-years-old.”
